Artemis Fowl (2020)

Artemis Fowl is a 12 year-old genius who lives in Ireland with his father Artemis Sr. Growing up Artemis was told stories of the fairies by his father till they became a part of Artemis. When Artemis Sr. goes missing and a mysterious voice calls demanding the “Aculos,” an object of untold magical power so strong it would kill a human who tried to use it. Artemis quickly learns that the tales his father shared of the fairies are more than mere stories. Artemis, alongside his butler Dom, crafts a brilliant plan to acquire the Aculous and save his father armed with Artemis Fowl’s greatest weapon, his mind.

Mattson gives this movie a thrashing. Javier is disappointed he has misunderstood the rating system this whole time. Ian makes solid points about pacing. JJ does his best to defend this movie and at the very least Judi Dench.

Out of the ashes of the internet a podcast was formed. Four friends from different backgrounds united to create a pod for the common man. Devoid of the tedium of critically acclaimed podcasts, these brave souls embarked on a holy mission, to bring the light-hearted attitude of discussing movies with friends to the podcasting scene. However, due to unforeseen budget cuts two of their number were lost to the void of the internet. Doomed for eternity to find nothing but cat videos and food challenges. The remaining heroes, JJ and Mattson searched far and wide for a suitable replacement but in the end settled for Alec. These two and a half heroes continue in their mission to bring an enjoyable conversation about movies and tv shows directly to you, our viewers.
