V for Vendetta (2005)
England has devolved to a dictatorship where your conversations are monitored and recorded by “fingermen” who abuse their power. Choices are limited and speaking out against the tyrant Adam Sutler will get you disappeared. He rules with fear and propaganda, but there is one vigilante hero out for revenge, and you may call him “V.” Evey Hammond is rescued by V from Sutler’s fingermen which starts her on a path towards revolution.
Our deep thought engines were in high gear for this episode. Our guest host Jay calls into question the quality of this movie early. Javier uses his power of delivering propaganda to defend it. JJ admits he is old and still a child at the same time. Mattson leans into deep thought and that this movie gives you plenty to talk about. Ian doesn't say much this episode but what he does say is pure gold.
